This page has all my notes for making beeswax candles.

Sounds like beeswax should use square braided wick.

5/0 wick seems to work well for small hand-dipped candles < 3/4″ wide.

The Candlewic 6″ low smoke wicks create tunnels in the tea lights.

the 5/0 square braid seems to work well on birthday candles too.

#2/0 Wick is used for small 1 – 2″ diameter candles and 1/2″ – 7/8″ diameter tapers.

#5/0 Wick is used for small up to 1″ candles and 1/2″ – 3/4″ diameter tapers.
